The IRFU have announced a major change to its central contracting system, as the four provinces will soon be responsible for 40pc of the cost of national player contracts.

The situation where Leinster have second choice players on Central contracts whilst the national team ignores players likes Coombes and Barron is a big factor.

The other provinces should have been kicking up bloody murder the last few years.

The way the 2024 6N winning outhalf was treated this year was a total disgrace.

The Frisch and Kleyn non selection was a complete shambles.

Farrell should just sod off to the RFU at this point.

It's a huge disadvantage that our sports media are so Dublin/Leinster biased.

If we had a proper sports media - it would be screaming blue murder about how our 6 Nations efforts were nobbled by Farrell and Easterby.

It was outrageous to select an out half that couldn't tackle against the best attacking side in the competition. We might never again get this opportunity. We probably wouldn't have beaten France even if Crowley was picked but we've had a slim chance - with Prendergast, we had no chance.

IMO - Farrell and Easterby deserve to be fired.

This token effort on funding is a sop to appease the other 3 provinces. We should not accept this.

Healy has resigned with Edinburgh but they've also resigned Thompson at 10. Might bring Healy 2 more seasons closer to being IQ again and he could slot in for JJ.

The big one will be what happens to Hugh Gavin. I wonder will he "have" to move to Dublin also?

I'm still not sold on Leinster post Conan, Healy, Porter, Furlong, Ringrose, Henshaw and JGP. And that day is fast approaching.
