In fairness, as a somewhat lefty myself, some of the online shite is fairly fucking tiresome. People busy pretending we're in America. And the right wing is just as bad, and almost certainly worse, for importing their bollocks to here. Except the right wing are getting paid and funded to do it because they're money grubbing, evil, greedy cunts with not an ethical bone between them.
You see it all the time with the "contact your TD!!!" shite and people sending in copy and pasted form letters. They're straight in the recycle bin, I'd imagine, because some moron couldn't be arsed writing their own words, or using their own reasoning. Go onto some of the social media sites and you'd be hard pressed to find someone posting about a hobby, a restaurant they ate in or music, and not some bollocks prat of an inconvenience from the local armed nutter in Seattle or Texas. Politics is these people's hobby. Would you be well? Do something useful. You don't even have to sit with and feed the homeless. Donate some arts and crafts materials to the local Deis school. Write a letter of support for funding for a Men's, Women's or Queer Shed. Even join the local Tidy fucking Towns (although they're a law unto themselves, like the Sicilian Mafia.)
