The Hurling Thread

Clare are a team in transition but they should be able to beat a depleted Dublin, who have a desperate record in Thurles. I think the pundits have it right.

Clare vs Limerick also has only one outcome based on evidence of season to date
Dublin had a deperate record vs Kilkenny too. I’m not following it closely on the injury front. If Dublin were healthy I would give them a good chance.

iirc he was injured in a club football championship match the week before, the haven battered the shit out of him for the hour
🤔
I watched that game in a pub in Skibb.
A Cork guy there told me that JBM had a stomach bug the week leading up to the game. Don't know if he was a Barrs guy or not.
That game shouldn't have gone ahead. Conditions were not only atrocious but dangerous as well.

Conlon has a knock... could be out. I'm hearing McInerney was tried FB in a recent challenge v Offaly.
Read that as coleman and got a fright! With all our misfortunes hopefully we get no more injuries and bring a few more lads back in.
Conlon a warrior of a player infairness to him, hopefully all will be okay, came back from a serious injury last year which shows his determination.

5 games left, and there is bound to be a shock result in those 5 games

But which game?
I wouldnt see it as a big shock but I think Dublin have a great chance against Clare on Saturday. Clare haven’t fired at all this year, I dont buy the narrative that they might have saved themselves to date and will burst into action now, something is not right there at all. They beat Waterford and Tipp, hammered by Limerick and ourselves. Dublin are better than people realise I think, steadily improving, and carry a real goal threat - this is a shot to nothing for them and NOC will set them up right for it. Dublins shortcoming will be a lack of pace in their defence I think, party time for SOD

The thing for me is how have they recovered mentally since the leinster final. One thing losing, but to take a beating and being so comprehensively outplayed could leave a few scars
