I feared the worst when he went in. His time at Sars was not good tbf but there's no doubt there was a huge improvement this year. It's surprising from that pov. They seemed to learn from last year and be a really good set up this year.

Relegation from 1A in the league was a disaster for them though.

That’s surprising. I think to be fair to him they weren’t that far off. The Clare game this year was a blow because had they won that or even gotten a draw then a win against Cork would have seen them through.

Yeah, and we’re talking in the Cork Hurlers thread about us having a lot of injuries this year compared to previous years. Waterford seemed to be badly affected this year too with less panel depth. Yes results will show they only got 1 point, but I thought they performed better this year than the last few years.

Two year term and maybe they are looking at another direction. Hes Given a lot to the Deise and gaa over the years fair play to him. would love to see them back in contention again in Munster .on a side note really hope they dont return to davy fitz would not be a good move.

I didn't think Gillane was moving well in the warm up on Sunday. They played a game in the warm up and he moved very sparingly in it.

He got a ball on Sunday with open grass in front of him and I thought he would take off but he was only able to run at about 75%. I wasn't surprised when he was taken off, he definitely looked to be holding back

Wonder if pat ryan would be interested in taking waterford role on or maybe they will look internally again

Yeah hasn't looked 100% for sure then again sometimes it goes like that you can't find your touch, also Sod marked him well too
