The Hurling Thread

Are there any of the current hurling or football teams who would join the list should they ever win an AI? The Cahalanes and Brian Hayes are all I can think of. Ben Cunningham if he ever gets back in contention. Harnedys mother won a few too I’m sure.

KCLR podcast gold tonight- the weight of 11 years without a title is driving KK people mad.
The gas of it all.

The irony being that no matter how sh*te they have been so far this year they could still win a Leinster title and go straight to an AI SF...

They were seriously rattled by the Hoggie and Canning commentary prior to the Offaly game where the lads predicted Offaly would have a right go off of them.
They can't understand why "neutrals" don't see them the same way as they see themselves (i.e. All Ireland contenders).
Number 1: we're not neutral 😆
Number 2: maybe we're right in thinking KK are not up to it and the only reason we pay any heed to them is the recent, but receding, memory of their near 10 years of absolute dominance.

Their comments on other Leinster teams "to be fair to Dublin they're not too bad"
and Galway "stuttered v Offaly" (despite beating em by 10 points).
I think you're misrepresenting some of the content of that episode in fairness. It was Michael Walsh who mentioned Hoggy and Canning's comments before the match, I don't think I he was rattled by their comments but gave them as an example of how this KK team are viewed in other counties.

Walsh was the only one of the three who saw KK-Offaly (and he's the only one of them who is from KK). He was clearly disappointed by the KK performance but he didn't sugar-coat it or complain about the ref. I think he's a pretty straight shooter all told.
