The Hurling Thread

The false equivalence is what irks me. We had September All Irelands for over 100 years and what did that do for the promotion of hurling? The last first time winner of a hurling All Ireland was in 1981. Before that it was 1948.
Yeah but nobody ever complained about September all irelands when they were in that month. Never remember Sunday game debates, newspaper articles,,etc saying September all Irelands were destroying the club game.
Not that I want them in September again BTW

Not every team can’t travel to a windy Salthill and get a result.
Could have easily been a different result against Cork if Galway had been able to take their points. Also, they are not that bad a team.

4 teams now on 2 wins/4 points, the league is not over yet from the point of view that the second league finalist is not a shoe in, and the second team going down is not set in stone either. Any of those 4 teams could go down or be in the league final.

A fantastic state of affairs. Roll on the next 2 rounds.

Saying it with years, the August bank holiday weekend is the perfect landing spot for the hurling final. Sunday hurling, Monday camogie. Be a great long weekend.
