The Hurling Thread

Carlow are a very admirable county, picking from 6 or 7 clubs.
Wexford look to have some promising youngsters. The free taker Simon roche and corner forward kinsella were very economical. This will be a tough year but should have a decent team in 2/3 years.
Definitely especially when you consider that their population is only about 60k and they are the 2nd smallest in area in country.

Ya, Leinster top 3 already clear cut.

Is everyone OK after the scenes at the Leinster colleges final today

Just seen a clip of the kierans player's running over to the fans after the match, fans ran down and knocked the fence. Not sure was anyone hurt?!
Saw it alright. It looked terrifying!

3 hurt, 1 stretchered off. No serious injuries. That's just what I heard though, I have absolutely no way of verifying it!

Don't disagree with any of this.
Lots and lots to admire about the Limerick team.
But the head hitting is a fact. Not being disrespectful to Knock, just calling out what was blatantly obvious.
Remember, one of the first sessions held by John Kiely was in a boxing ring.
He paired off all the players for an actual 1 v 1 boxing match.
Aussie rules teams have their players conducting boxing matches as part of their training. Supposedly to toughen them up but these are professionals

Cork had boxing matches as part of the training regime this year along with wrestling, where a Cork player got his front teeth broken.
Can’t understand why it’s an issue or complaint when Limerick do it but not Cork.
