The Hurling Thread

What a way to win it
Very surprised ref didn't give Ballyhale a chance to equalise, supposed to be "Minimum of Xminutes" according to the rules. Not the norm and bad refereeing imo. Great game all the same snd great bang for St. Martin's. Well done to them, the O'Connors were fantastic.

Ballygunner will be happy enough to see Ballyhale out of the picture, especially as they possibly could have had Mullen back for the semi final. Martins will be strong opposition but they won't fear them the way they do with Ballyhale.

I felt he did. Wasn’t blown up right on the three minutes.

Great tactics there at the end putting the ball out over the sideline deep in Shamrocks half.

?? The place was hopping in the stands. Would you prefer it was played in some bog of a pitch this evening where the ball wasn't even hopping on the surface.
??? There was 7k inside a stadium that holds over 80k, you could hear the calls from the line. Some atmosphere alright !! The pitch condition of course is a given

They showed serious character to find a way to win that one.
Super entertainment.
Brilliant decision to play these finals in croke park. Munster council should do similar every year with a double header in Pairc ui chaoimh.
Guarantee a good surface for these games and you'll get great contests.
The Clare teams won't play down the Pairc, Thurles really suited Eire og against Ballygunner!
