I feel like Kilkenny forwards have always been a bit like that even at their best. 3 would be unstoppable one day then the next day it's a different 2 or 3. I suppose that's true for most teams, will rarely have all 6 firing but always thought it was more prevalent with Kilkenny for whatever reason. Maybe i was looking for chinks in the armourtrue - Billy Ryan prime example. On fire one day, anonymous the next. KK's stongest line is FB line but Limerick have no bother sacrificing that... so Lawlor could well do a number on Gillane but doesn't matter if Lynch is running rings around Richie Reid and setting up points for English, Hegarty etc.
Ya K Hayes at 6 prob fair alright. Maher and Joyce decent too.Like him or loathe him Kyle Hayes would be 6
I'd play Fitz at 9
Morris at 10
Lynch at 11
John McGrath at 15
I'd have Morrissey at 3
If you discount the Cork game, which was over before it began, John McGrath scored 4-6 from play in 3 games which is fair going so he seems to have gotten a new lease of life after a number of poor years, including being dropped for a good while.Ya K Hayes at 6 prob fair alright. Maher and Joyce decent too.
Did John McGrath do much bar the Clare game? I suppose decent v Limerick also…
Fitz for the Munster final alone maybe.
Jamie Barron had a good campaign also.
