The Hurling Thread

Gillane ,o brien and English best of our forwards ,some great patches of hurling from both tipp and limerick, coming down the stretch both could have won it but in a tight game prob would have been harsh on either side. In poor enough conditions it was a good game and draw was deserved result for both teams.

thought O Brien was the pick of the forwards. Gillane was very poor in first half but better in second and English the other way around. Hegarty and Morrisey look like they have very little left in the tank. Need Casey and Flanagan back along with O Neill. Think Hayes works better in the half back line.

Yeah not a great day for hego and morrisey but I think there's still plenty hurling in them.
Casey is key player as is o neill but in truth it's first day out and maybe some were not up to the pitch and speed of play.
Tipp hurled well I thought and probably used the ball better at times than we did.
Overall I'd be happy enough with a draw ,tipp are always a tough battle at home in thurles and it's a point on the road ,like cork take it and move on.

Hayes hardly touched the ball in 2nd half
