The Hurling Thread

Then don't rule them out for the year if you don't know.
Don't be naive, the managers are much cuter surrounding injuries and false reporting than you think.
I don’t recall Kiely ruling quaid out for the year. It was all the internet medical experts that did. Iirc he said he hoped quaid to play a part in the championship which he is

Think it’s been pretty much sign posted for Kiely that he was making remarkable progress. Though we’d see him for game 4 if we were qualified maybe or a quarterfinal. Either way they must be confident in the recovery process.

I think one of the Limerick players let the cat out of the bag recently after the Galway game,

Limerick team as expected In a lot of ways. Listen to any interview with Kiely and the need to get new guys starting was clear. Even when he accepted to go again for these two years he clearly stated he wanted to leave squad in a good position replacement wise.
A big what if about that team for Sunday. 4 championship debutants even if they already have game time. But ultimately we won’t know till Sunday evening if they’re there Poor league performances since we went past the cork tipp Galway games but again how much value do we put on the league.

A weath of experience on the bench and a good few promising players. Two previous all stars and the most decorated captain we’ve ever had mot making the bench is a shot across the bows of the squad which is no harm at all.

Not the strongest Limerick team I've seen in recent seasons. It does look more energetic then last seasons team which looked very tired at stages against us though.

I think Cathal O Neill is an excellent player but for me the jury is still out on Barry Murphy, Colin Coughlan and the Bull O Brien. Also reckon Reidy is a weak link at center forward. Strong bench though.

Quaids Lazurus like return is huge. I can't remember someone coming back from a cruciate as quickly. Any other examples?
