The Hurling Thread

Great game to watch,Doon hurled well as did Ballygunnar. BG short game is phenomenal and they have one of the best keepers in the game for me. Been a great year for Doon ,congratulations to Ballygunnar they are some club side.
O Keefe was the difference.Couple of great stops.
Loughmore C will give them plenty of it as well

Agree.their 2nd.half showing was brilliant. 17 points to 7 and they never even bothered with goals.

Great game of hurling! Doon brought a savage amount of intensity and closed down Ballygunner at every opportunity. They certainly didn't shy away from the Gunners. Between the industry of Conor Sheahan in midfield, the top class goalkeeping of Stephen O' Keeffe (two outstanding saves) and the accurate shooting of Dessie Hutchinson and Patrick Fitzgerald, Ballygunner put in an excellent shift in the 2nd half and was enough to put the Doon outfit to the sword. Maybe if Doon had a 2nd week to prepare, they might have been able to hang on for those last 10 or 15 minutes. I hope to see them back again in this competition in the next year or two.

Adam English nowhere near as influential as in the Limerick final.

Probably celebrated hard. Understandably so, but an extra week may have made a big difference.
