He is coming into a stagnant pool. There has been little promotion of the team the Cork minors beat in the semi final . Currie was a serious prospect but has disappeared a bit.

The other bad news is I watched Eoghan O Donnell playing for Whitehall against Castleknock in football and he looked very good. Dessie brought him on against Kerry as well. This would deprive them of a serious leader at full back.

Not sure either if he has a native on the backroom team... Daly always had a Dublin hurling man to scout a bit for him . New blood needed and its a big county in terms of clubs.

He’s not a miracle worker, they are very average and no top class forward especially on the inside line, he is a good manager and will improve them a bit but it’s a job going no where

No real unbeatable team in leinster at the moment and a small improvement is all the dubs need to make it out of leinster.

As far as players go there aren't too many names that are bigger, as a coach he's been an assistant on more than a few successful teams.
