"A new heat record for June of 46C was set on Saturday in the town of El Granado, according to Spain's national weather service, which also said this month is on track to be the hottest June on record.

Red heat warnings are in force in parts of Portugal, Italy and Croatia, with numerous amber warnings covering areas of Spain, France, Austria, Belgium, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Hungary, Serbia, Slovenia and Switzerland."

Can you imagine if you paid good money for a foreign sunshine holiday and a bit of R+R and found yourself being slow-cooked in a 46C oven.

Sunnier climes are off the list in June/July/August for the foreseeable.

September is a good month to come to the South of Spain. July and August can get incredibly hot & humid in Málaga. Cádiz is usually a little cooler being on the Atlantic coast. However, July and August can be very crowded on the Cádiz coast.
