The Green Shoots Thread

Is there an issue again with the lad playing with Munich declaring?

Issues around his eligibility. FAI are dealing with it with FIFA but he appears to be quite flaky so I wouldn't be holding out much hope that he's going to end up representing Ireland.
He's starting to make noises that he'd love to play for Sweden now.
His dad is swedish.
His mam is English with Irish parents.
He was born in Luxembourg.
I won't hold my breath on him.

18 year old Nathan Collins captained Stoke last night versus Wigan in the league cup.
This lad is a real prospect, big as a house with plenty of footballing ability. I wouldn't be surprised to see him leapfrog the likes of Keogh, Long and a few more by the time Stephen Kenny gets the senior job.

Jason Molumby started for Milwall aswell.

Some achievement to become club captain at 18. Another Irish centre half, Dara O'Shea made his debut for West Brom last night.

Gavin Kilkenny at Bournemouth could be interesting. An attacking winger who impressed Howe in pre-season, but no sign of him at the weekend.

Dan Crowley is a little older, but has been doing ok so far for Birmingham.

That's right and Jason knight started for Derby last night too. There are a good few lads in and around the first team squads in the championship and league 1, what we need are a lot of these lads to push on and get 15-20 games under their belt this season.

I haven't seen much of Kilkenny but you're right Howe has namechecked him a few times recently which might indicate he will get some chances to impress soon.

A little like Tony Cascarino I suppose!

Adam Idah starts for Norwich tonight in the league cup. Aaron Connolly starts for Brighton and Michael Obafemi starts for Southampton too.
