Was watching back a few of the closing stages of AI finals from the 2010’s there while scrolling you tube. You’d forget how fucking mortifyingly bad the cynical/shithousery stuff had got. My main emotion after Dublin’s wins was sourness at how the end of games played out. I’d take the odd controversy over frees getting moved up/not moved up before the shit show that was before it.

The biggest one Mayo ever let get away was 2014, when they lost to Kerry in the semi final replay in Limerick, after Donegal took Dublin out in the other semi.

That was the worst Kerry team to ever win an AI, and it was a mix of being fucked by the ref and just bottling it than done em.

That absolutely sickened me. The pricks should have gone the 2010’s without anything. James O’Donoghue the star forward FFS, a fucking Lidl version Kerry team.

Worst refereeing performance ever in the semi-final, in favour, unsurprisingly, of Kerry. One example of the officiating was David Moran taking a free with his fist while lying on the ground as the referee watched on.

Was it either 16 or 17 when Donal Vaughan got himself sent off needlessly. John Small was about to get sent off and Mayo would have been a man up and a point up for last 15 mins or so

And had a straight forward scorable free for Cillian O'Connor which became a hop-ball which Dublin won and got the next score, thus a 2 point swing. Mayo lost by a point.
