I have a good friend who is an umpire for an IC ref up the country and we spoke about their input in games and his answer was only if asked. Don't know if this is a directive or the referee's choice.

Remember the time the Meath player threw the ball into the Louth net in a Leinster final about a dozen years ago. The two umpires had a clear view but the goal stood (Martin Sludden was the rather rotund referee that day) That same bollixology prevails today, if not that often as egregious as that decision.

The 'chicken and mouse' words were from Donal Og in his punditry at the Cork v Galway hurling semi, he also went on with a load of bull regarding Cork's composure being so good in the 1st half at h/t, even Ben O'Connor stated afterwards losing a 5 point lead to just 1 after Alan Walsh's goal was crucifying. The saying is 'cat and mouse's so what's the issue with Joanne making a laugh out of Donal Og's own stupid concoction? I have no issue with it whatsoever!

Tbf it wasn’t a dig at Cork, it was a dig at Cusack. She shouldn’t have said it especially considering he wasn’t even there and it kinda of backfired as I’d say the majority didn’t grasp what she was rabbitting on about.
