The Gaelic Football Thread

Would he be an option for Cork? Not saying he should be but putting it out there. Only for David Moran giving away the ball he would have stopped Dublins 5 in a row and has a good underage record as well.
Kerry were decent in 2019 but other than that he was a total failure at senior level for Kerry. The defeats to Cork in 20 and Tyrone in 21 were dreadful.

Connolly was one of the best fowards to play the game.
hard to understand how he won player of the year (the year escapes me) when keegan had him on toast in the final and even out scored him from wing back.

if anything it shows up how flawed a player of the year accolade is in a knockout tournament. play a decent quarter and semi, don’t show up in the final but head off with a celtic cross and you’ll still get an all-star plus poty.

Bizarre behaviour. I get managers are under a lot of pressure and scrutiny but to get personal like that is totally out of order.
That's probably true. But part of me likes to see the up front bollocking like this rather than the sneery/snide moaning you get from most managers.

Jim McGuiness still refuses to partake in any press work, even after march press conference gigs, if Declan Bogue is in attendance because of the book he wrote with Kevin Cassidy. I'd actually consider that worse than if he just called him a cunt 15 years ago and got on with his life.
