The Dubs have very impressive forwards. They turn defence into attack very quickly and when they get a shooting opportunity, they are very accurate. And that is against a Galway defence, which is the most highly rated part of their team.

They have some great fielders in the middle of the field too. They won with Con O'Callaghan absent for most of the second half.

People here are too dismissive of them.

I’d be shocked if a team with O’Cofaidh Byrne in midfield wins an All Ireland.
The term Lumbering was invented for him.

But then again, a team with Bastic, Brennan and Connolly along the spine won one!

Correct for once, they are simply one of 6/7 teams who can win and last night doesn’t change anything, anyone talking about dublins ‘great fielders’ doesn’t know what they are looking at, they have the weakest midfield of the top teams and are utterly reliant on cluxton and Kilkenny winning every kickout.
What last night exposed again is Joyce and his lack of courage to play a faster more attacking strategy, you would have thought after last years debacle he would have learned, the squad he has now n paper is the strongest left but the way they play gives everyone who plays them a chance

Connolly was one of the best fowards to play the game.
Absolutely true.

But too much of a head the ball to really build a team around. And too often a liability.

Too easily got at, too easily riled up, and too often disappeared completely from a match.

The Donegal win in 2012, wouldn’t have happened if Connolly was a proper team player.
