Extreme example here, but If two people with a gun go out to kill someone, both fire but one misses their target and one hits their target. Are they charged the same? No, one is murder but the other is attempted murder. Both receive a sentence but one is lesser as a result of outcome

The intent to cause serious injury ie gouging was clearly shown by the Armagh scumbag. Should have got 1-2 years ban imo.

Only because his teammate intervened to prevent a more serious injury. Gouging is a despicable act and the CCCC are giving carte blanche now to players with this nonsense ban. Never mind that they didn't even look at the fact that he shouldn't have been there. He won't even miss a game with Armagh. What message is that sending out
