Drove out of the city today and noticed a load of goalposts up where the Cork summer show is on. Think they were rugby goals but is this part of UCCs development?

I know this has been discussed before on here, but having the Under 21 hurling finals on 4 days before Christmas is an absolute cod. I cannot understand why they cannot play the Under 21 championships midweek during the summer.

During summer wouldn't work because a lot of clubs would need their minors to make teams.

One reason is that's the time for lads that age to head off on J1s and other travels for a couple of months. In the current set up they can go after college exams are finished and still get back for the club championship.
There would be zero appetite from clubs to play u21 in the summer
