If tickets are going to golf classics and one cork and stuff directly from CCB then I have no problem with that whatsoever. These are people who are going to source a ticket from somewhere anyway so those still will be in circulation. It is a headache for club Secretaries for sure but like every final cork ever played in, I'm sure almost everyone who really deserves and wants a ticket will get one by the big day.
The county board for whatever reason, like it or not, hasn't a fucking pot to piss in. They have no alternative but to go after this coin now. We all know in our heart of hearts that the clubs had 40 years to do something about how the thing was being run and they did fuck all. That's on all of us, to varying degrees.
I don't have 1000% trust in the current regime down the marina and based off their public utterances their relationship with transparency and truth telling is patchy to say the least but they got an absolute hospital pass and when the bank comes calling for its money then there's not a whole pile they can do.
