I’d agree with most of that Vlad but it’s comical you have an issue with a “stacked 2nd team” taking down a smaller club yet you have no issue with Imokilly and their 500+ pick taking down clubs with a pick of 75+ players 😀
We should be thanking Imokilly r&b. If Sars had won the County they'd still be celebrating and never have won the Munster club. This is another step on the road for Cork. In years to come they'll be saying "Denis Ring saved Cork hurling" 🤣.

Somewhere in Togher a lad was just pulled from his car and had ‘F**k Imokilly’ screamed into his face.

I guess it reflects the budget they had. Barring the South Stand it’s essentially the same stadium as before with better facilities. To build it to Croke Park or Premier League standard would a 40k capacity would have cost multiples of what it eventually did cost.
Nothing in the old stadium was kept. It’s all entirely new. Horrendous design.. Agricultural 70s design.. 40,000 capacity absolutely daft ego driven nonsense.
A terrible legacy. I hope I’m somehow alive in 40 years years time when it’s knocked

Would moneys from kilbarry land make a difference ?
Game changer.. If Kilbarry comes through planning intact then its sale should go close to clearing the entire debt to Bank Of Ireland. Just the €10m left to Croke Park then.
All is great.. However all that was never the plan. Kilbarry should be funding development of the games, centers of excellence etc.
Again, the new Pairc is an unmitigated disaster and those responsible should be ashamed of themselves.

They kept the frame or the original terraces and uncovered stand. I agree it’s not the prettiest but I think some branding would help fix that. We were never going to get a world class stadium for 100 million.

So am I right in saying you are suggesting that Kilbarry is worth around €20 million. What are you basing that on?

That was the original plan but they ended up Fully demolished.. without planning. They were hit by planning enforcement if you recall.

I didn’t say that it’s worth €20m at all
I did say if it comes through planning intact it will “go close” to clearing the boi debt. 320 units at €50-€60k per unit is in the €15m-18m people are talking about..
The Land Agency will buy that site, guaranteed, maybe in partnership with a builder.
