Does Frank Need To Go

There is no such thing as the spirit of the rule, there is only the actual rule, and no decision should be made outside those parameters

But the whole point is that for those 60 days Sams club was the club he played with in the US, or are you suggesting players should be able to move to different clubs without any rules or consequences?
I'd say the likes of Ballygarvan, Ballinhassig and other Clubs would have broken the rules ( imagine if all Clubs got to decide which rules only applied to others , and not to them ? ) and played ( illegal ) players too if they knew the only penalty was a €200 fine .

Midleton are really getting the special treatment ,, playing illegal player with zero penalties, 1/4 v newtown fixed for Friday nite in pairc ui rinn when the other 1/4 finals are played in county venues. Midleton get a double header of 1/4 final fixtures when 90% of clubs can’t get a c/ship match all yr. KOD seems to have lost the power to the chairman when it comes to the magpies.

The Sam Quirk situation complaints are fair and founded, but the whole Friday night in PUiR stuff is bullshit. Both teams will start with 15 players and whoever wins, will go through to the semis. End of.

The double header in Midleton is pure cronyism though. They'd nearly always be PUR or PUC. Most people just threw their eyes up to heaven when they saw it.

I've watched various different sports all around the world. Three of the worst things I've ever seen have been at Go Games.

A grown adult supporter vilely abusing a child (15 year old) ref at an under 9 match.

An animalistic act of violence by one player to another at a u10 game, a flurry of punches and kicks to the head and torso of a child on the ground. The perpetrators father (coach) ran on screaming with his arms out "ref he's been asking for that all day".

A short haired girl playing absolutely brilliantly at an u11 game and the opposing coach screaming at her coaches about 6 feet away from her that "this is a girls match you can't be playing fucking boys".

There needs to be a culture of accountability in the association and it needs to come from the top. I always bring it back to high profile players getting off suspensions before all Ireland finals. That's the culture "ah lookit shure nobody wants to see X miss a game". You want to do something quick to improve it? 2 years of no appeals and the refs decision on the day stands. No DRA no CCCC, nothing. There'd be a few casualties along the way and some legitimate cases would be hard done by but it'd be a start.
