sounds like the aghabullogue players disgraced themselves and their club hurling wise today. Well done me arse.

🙄...some 'beauts' protecting the Co Board here...for the record, Aghabullogue were minus a couple due to injury & got an early red card today, Cloughduv by all accounts played very well. Hope they get injured players back by next weekend for their football q/final, be tough going to lose two in a week...

That's a good one. You'd think the board in question would stay quiet about it and the mess that they made.
There would be no need for interference of any kind if they'd been able to deal with it.
It surely becomes the remit of the county board when an illegal player is played. Had the player in question gotten a serious injury there could have been some serious issues around insurance, etc. Absolutely crazy

The Motions this year had an interesting urban strand. Glen Rovers proposed that the permission to allow Divisional teams in the senior hurling and football championships be deleted failed.
Outstanding orators Willie Ring, representing UĂ Mac Coille, Ger Scully, Killeagh and Matt Ahearne, Passage gave this motion the red card fast to overwhelming agreement. A motion effecting the Colleges again proposed by Glen Rovers and seconded by St Finbarrs came before the convention. One could say Colleges are now centres of excellence for Cork hurling and football. This one received a similar fate and the status quo remains.
