I doubt it's about money as such. She knew that they made stories up and signed sworn statements to this effect to introduce some doubt as to where her bruising had come from. McGregor and his followers will have made great use of that while they could to slander her name so it vindicates Hand again.I could understand why ste might want the certainty of an award against them.

These cases are hardly worth pursuing ordinarily Id imagine but every now and again an example needs to be made of someone for the greater good and this would be an ideal opportunity to send the message that if you are prepared to align yourself with scum like McG and issue sworn untrue statements that have potential to affect a case, then you will have your day in court as well
