The President is our head of state fella. He has no role to play in government policy. As I understand it, his role is to make sure any laws passed by the government are constitutional and if they are, sign off on them. I'm not exactly sure what happens when they're not, but I'm assuming he or some other well paid civil servant (possibly the Attorney General explains the why to the legislatitor).

He's also the head of the armed forces and greets dignitaries in the Aras and makes them tea.

I'd say Michael D is well capable of performing this role, especially with his background in law.

Unless I'm missing something. Do tell if I am.
