She brought a civil case against him for rape that she knew didn't happen, she lied, just like he lied.

She can't know it didnt happen though. Surely you can see that?

There is no lie in what she said, which is "I have no recollection of this sex so it either didn't happen or it happened when I was unconscious "

She remembers what happened with McGregor. She never brought a complaint against Lawerence to the Gardai. She knew there was no dna evidence from Lawrence. Is it normal to accuse people of rape because you have no recollection just because some one else said you did?
If I wasn't 100% certain something happened, I certainly wouldn't be accusing anyone.

IMHO it's far more abnormal to tell the police you had sex with someone when you probably didn't

I've always found him grand to be honest.

Will engage with anyone who has a go on Twitter.

I might not agree with him on a lot but he will at least argue his corner instead of a lot of contrarians who just hit the block button.

yeah like you, I also half know a reasonably prominent sports journo. He has loads of time for McKenna as a person.

So you would have allowed your rapist to walk away scot-free, because he got his friend to lie for him?

Because that's what she would have had to do if she didn't sue JL.

See we are back to 3 hrs ago, in your mind it's okay to make a false accusation against someone to catch some else. Whilst as I said I'm happy McGregor got done, I can't agree with our court system being used like that.

Take that up with McGregor and Lawrence. They're the ones who caused it.

Yeah I used think he was a bit of a bollocks but hes actually alright.

The overlap between civil & criminal cases always felt like an interesting/odd area.
