And the 400k+ Paddys that live and work in the North have all fucked off for the bank holiday (to get away from the triumphalist sectarian hate fest) so no one is around to clean up their filth. Classic.
There's loads to do up north boy, the pubs are class, it has a vibrant music and arts scene, and the facilities for kids are way better than anything you'll see down south. It's sectarian as fuck lads.
You always have to watch where you are and who you're speaking to.
Not to mention the massive wall dividing the west part and the beautiful sectarian murals.
Also the Titanic experience is a load of shite and there is fuck all to do.
Total shit hole.
Avoid.
If you've got kids, then W5 is unreal for them, I'd reccomend that alright. Not my experience, stayed in Jurys Inn, got a cab with the courtesy phone in the lobby and the cab driver brought me onto the link road to bring us to the train station. Found out later that the cab company was in Sandy Row.
Most of the pubs and restaurants in the area were only ok imo.
The tourist activities such as black cabs( depressing reality for a large number of people who live in the area) and Titanic experience were pretty poor tbh.
Great spots on the north west coast but the city was like a small Dublin.
One thing in its favour is there were less junkies probably because they were driven out by the paramilitary that doesn't exist there any more.
Must have been a few years ago , when they got the cheap booze. I thought Belfast was more expensive than Dublin, 7 euro a pint. In Westport recently, you can still get a pint for a fiver. Have to say I found the Mayo lads sound out. Well up for the craic.

Those rocks could be from anywhere in the world if found on the sea bed.Seeing as St Patrick's Day is almost upon us let's not forget that before he came to this Island we had other visitors, the Dinosaurs and as this article reports the first & only Dinosaur fossils were discovered in NI.
