why no ladies football in the Barrs?

there is and its thriving but it was only set up about 10 years ago and by then Meabh went to Eire Og to play alongside her cousins

and 3 of them have to go out tomorrow and try win the senior camogie final too

52 weeks in the year and they fix the 2 finals the same one

The camoige association and LGFA fix matches on the same day for IC teams surely you don't expect them to entertain a fixture clash with two separate clubs involved

It's shocking but people also need to realise that they are two separate organisations incapable of working together. This has been well flagged over the years

After four final defeats in a row Eire Og finally win the Senior A championship, beating defending champions Aghada by 4 points after ET

Congrats to Eire Og - took huge character to go back to the well, so many times.

However, the scheduling of camogie and football is outrageous. Last week Aghada had to play a camogie final on the day b4 the ladies county football final. 8 players involved both days. One missed the football final (and replay) because of an injury in the camogie. Went to a replay.

It is very unfair to ask girls to play 2 important finals in 2 days. Then Amy O Connor got injured in a camogie relegation game, midweek.

To cap it off - Barrs play the county camogie final today - 3 Cahalane sisters played football final with 20 mins extra time, yesterday.


This is outrageous and places girls health at risk. Shame on the administration in Cork.

There was a photo of them I saw earlier and one of them was holding a baby. Has one of them a kid do you know?

Their achievements are phenomenal as it is, but if one of them has a raw baby then that is truly extraordinary!!!
