If you are banning evictions then you are banning landlords so the whole simplistic populist idea is counter-productive.

Which is a shame as they are the most vulnerable group in society most dependent on state handouts etc and have the most to gain from participation in society like education etc.

Between rent arrears, Councils not enforcing dereliction and vacancy there could be a huge sum out there to help people get homes.
