Heating; decent size rooms; a garden or nearby park if there's kids; and within a short walk of a bus-stop - if they can also afford to keep a car on the road that's up to them but none of this off-road reserved spaces, and certainly not electric gated reserved parking

Absolutely bonkers that people in "urgent need" of a house would turn their nose up at a suitable house. Grinds my gears when I regularly pass a council housing block in the city centre, yards from bus-stops with gated parking to see an almost brand new Mercedes Benz emerge.

At the start of the Douglas Road, opposite St Finbarr's Hospital and what used be the Lion's Den pub are 4 or 5 council houses with their own allocated car park spaces! There is a bus stop for multiple routes literally within feet of their front door, but the council decided rather than use the land to build a few more houses, it would be better to have off-street reserved parking for their residents. Meanwhile, their neighbours in private accomodation have to park on the street. It's utterly bonkers!

There is plenty accommodation it's the price you have to pay is the problem.
The 70 Palestinians students that SH brought in are not living on the street.?
The Universities waved the fees and the Government is providing food and drink.

The Department of Foreign Affairs said they don't individual cases.
I asked under an alaise are they in student accommodation. They said under data privacy legislation they cannot release this information.
