The Action Plan for Housing.

Yes thankfully I do. A question is not an answer, but that's not a surprise. Ask not what your government can do for you....
So the government did nothing to help you buy it, fair enough. I wouldn't ask the government to do anything for me, I guess it's the ethic I brought up on.

They could start with advancing the 50k payment for doing up an older property at the begining instead of after completion of works.
People may have the money to buy but not the savings to do them up.

I know nothing about these things but it seems a logical solution to getting old properties back in use.

The government does plenty for you.

If we didn't have a properly functioning government you'd know all about it.
Was there a point there? Or did you not just understand my post?

There try again ……

“I wouldn't ask the government to do anything for me”

There’s enough proles with their hands out.

The reason the grant is paid after completion is to make sure the renovations are done! Staggered payments would work I suppose.

The majority of people who take on projects like that are self builders & DIYers anyway and are fairly resourcefull in finding materials and ways to cut costs.

I take it you refuse the children's allowance payment
Did I ask them for it? Try again and read slowly now.

What has the children’s allowance payment got to do with me buying a house anyway?
You bum!
