I was engaging in sexual activity with my Mrs. on Thursday evening and she said she was mad to be rode. We quickly ascertained that neither of us had condoms and she said "I don't care, just put it in anyway".

I asked wtf, and she said she'd just go and get the pill the next morning.

I declined, put my pants back on, and went back down to the hotel bar for a few pints and an episode of Father Ted on my phone. I was genuinely rattled lads.

Not sure if this is related to what the OP is referring to or not but I needed to say it out loud. Was she trying to get me to drunkenly get her pregnant like?

Anyway I'm not going into detail of what we got up to before she said all this aside from a fair bit of rimming.

No menopause for me as yet, but @The Banker from friends that are at that stage, HRT seems to be a great help if she is a candidate for it.

There is a complex menopause clinic in the bons. She would need a referral from her GP to attend, but if HRT isn't an option for her then it might be well worth her while organising that.

Herself is going through it. Doesn't sound like fun, and I can tell you that she's not the only one suffering. I would say we're about three years in. It's a real struggle to get a GP that understands, ours is grand, but he's old school, should be retired, and told her that if she wasn't getting hot flushes, she doesn't have it. He's lucky he survived that shite, to be honest.

Having said that I heard a man say to his wife when she was expecting their first child how she shouldn't take the epidural and sure don't women always survive the pain anyway.
