Nike are prototyping a motorised shoe.

Clearly some benefits for people with limited mobility but they're marketing this straight at runners who want to go a bit faster.

Supershoes have already skewed the playing field beyond recognition

I hope the cunts go out of business.

How much is too much..

Titanium Golf Clubs with a sweet spot as big as a shoe, Range finders?

High tension Tennis rackets?

RACE radio and power meters?

Bamboo Hurleys and the Kilkenny Faceguards.

At what point does it become F1 and not a human achievement

all about the minimal gains! wasn’t it england/nike were the brains behind skin tight rugby jerseys? it made perfect sense. less of a grip zone for your opponent. the swimming super suit is another.

tbh, im all för those minimal gains as long as it isn’t propelled by something that isn’t human or doped up.

i’ve sat down and thought about these things every now and again but för the life of me can’t spawn an idea about anything i’ve played to gain an advantage. track and field, gaelic football, soccer, aussie rules, basketball, swimming, and so on.

didn’t yer man break the two hour marathon but it’s not officially recognised because he had pacers, the car with the laser, mental shoes…
if he broke it, he broke it. it’s like climbing everest today versus tensing and hillary. you use everything that’s at your disposal.
