Supel Bowl LX Feb 8th 2026 Levi Stadium

With another season of my beloved Bengals consigned to the scrap heap, I fancy the Patriots to go all the way this year. Potential MVP at quarterback and plenty of variety around the offence. They have serious momentum as well.'

Tough night watching the Red Zonet. Had Travis Kelce backed anytime TD and had a legit TD chalked off for a non-existent face-mask. Even worse that had the Chiefs challenged it would have been overturned and the TD given!!

Worse was to come as I also had Kenneth Gainwell of the Steelers backed anytime TD at 7/2. 40 yard run from a fake tush-push, he takes it to the pylon and the official calls it a TD. On review they spot him inside the 1 yard line. 4th quarter, Gainwell scores from a run inside the Red Zone only to have that chalked off due to a holding penalty.
Tough night.

Double Red-Zone this week with Thanksgiving football on Thursday. Life is good !!
Hope you have the turducken ready!

In a league where there are many hot messes, the Raiders must be up there at the top of shite mountain.

Mark Davis hiring Tom Brady as "football czar" was as bad a hire as you could see in pro sports. And now the chickens have arrived in Nevada to take up residence: https://www.theguardian.com/sport/2025/nov/24/las-vegas-raiders-tom-brady-nfl

Chip Kelly gone (should never have been hired in the first place): https://www.foxnews.com/sports/raid...-after-another-disastrous-performance-reports

Geno Smith sacked 10 times yesterday v Cleveland and now reportedly giving fans the finger after the game: https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profo...flip-off-fans-on-way-out-of-allegiant-stadium

Pete Carroll won't be there next year, and it's hard to see where they go from here. Their division is hyper competitive and they won't get near a playoff for the next 5 years even with all the parity structures in place in the league.

I was watching/listening to the Irish NFL Show last night and they brought up the story of the history of the Chiefs versus the Cowboys, which I hadn't heard before.
  1. The Chiefs were originally the Dallas Texans: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1960_Dallas_Texans_season https://sportsteamhistory.com/dallas-texans-chiefs/
  2. The Hunt family were from Texas, and made their fortune in the oil business, and are allegedly the real-life story behind the Ewings of Dallas fame
  3. The Hunt's Texans weren't the only team of that name in the Dallas area. Another Dallas Texans team, which played in the NFL (back when there were 2 competing leagues, the AFL (which the Hunts' team were part of) and the NFL), were a shambolic presence for a season in the early 1950s: https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id...ock-pulled-thanksgiving-miracle-chicago-bears
A nice rabbit hole to fall down ...
