Not sure about that O, he has one of the easiest, repetitive jobs on the field. Sure the Giants defence is a shiteshow but his missed kicks cost them a win.

I'm definitely no expert but there's two sides to it imo. His stats in college show he was never really good enough. A lot of surprise he got a shot at it I think. 66% when the average in the NFL would be what high 90s?

Secondly, he cost them 2 pts, but their defence gave up 33 points in the 4th quarter alone. That's a shitshow and imo the real story but easier to blame the Irish kicker...

I had a look on X after the game and most was just vile abuse but more considered posters seemed to be of the opinion their recruitment and general management is a shitshow and having a kicker at his level exemplifies this.

They're all valid criticisms. I wouldnt put too much of it on anything about him being non American really, any rookie kicker who misses 2 pat's is 50/50 to be cut and will be lambasted by fans.

33 pts in a quarter is an incredible collapse, from a quick googling 35 is the record.

And tbh it being indicative of wider management issues is correct, the Giants have floundered in the post Coughlin era and seem likely to continue as such too.
