My dog's 15 and legs are going. Just had a call with the vet about a quality of life check up tomorrow. His race is almost run, I'd say. Absolutely gutted.

His race isn't run just yet. Apart from the arthritis and cognative decline you'd expect for a dog his age, his bloods showed he's in good health. Pain management for the next while and check back in after the course of meds. At least he'll be comfortable for his remaining however long.

Not sure if I posted this already but those "Resealable" cold meat and cheese packets that you get in supermarkets. A "Peel here" tab that you'd need a scalpel to open and when you eventually manage to peel back, good luck ever getting it to seal again.
