Yes , you were having a pop off stuffy for using AI. Internet has opened a new world and new way of communication.

AI is no different , and using it is no different. If you think it is , enlighten me.

I take serious offence at your first statement.

I have a pop at EVERYONE for using LLMs.

So called AI is not sentient. It is a probability engine that uses weighted averages to predict the next token to form a response based on training data.

That's not communication because you are not communicating with anything.

If I was to send Colonel Lee Fields an email telling him I think he's a lapsy pa then I know he will read it and respond by calling me a langer.

Granted it's not the finest example of communication but it is an example none the less.

AI has fuck all to do with the Internet. I can run a model locally without an internet connection. It's just a computer program with a large dataset. The only relationship it has unfortunately is the amount of copyright violations and IP theft committed to train the datasets.

At the end of the day I'm disabled and it's not poor me, it's realism that I use Google. I'm not going to apologise for that. I find it helpful to find places, feedback about various topics etc

The datasets are slurped from books, websites, blogs, code, videos, music and God forbid social media.This is an IP and copyright violation on a global scale. People are having their work stolen and passed off as new thought/new truth.

It's all out there already. World Wide Web.

It isn't even a search engine. It takes months to train an LLM (dataset). Once done, it becomes difficult/impossible to correct errors. Hence dangerous inaccuracies, data pollution and hallucinations.

This crap has been around for decades. Positive reinforcement and feedback loops.

No the video isn’t familiar to me at all.

Is google and the World Wide Web just as prone to inaccuracies? Genuine question. It seems the same to me.
ChatGPT adopts a more personal language it seems. But who would believe it’s more than a Bot?
