Where in meath is yer da from as a matter of interest merchanty?
Oldcastle, up towards Virginia. But my aunt and her family live in Julianstown.
I love Oldcastle so much. I hated going there as a child, but now we try and do a few nights a year there and it's just brilliant. It really is hidden away and doesn't have a whole lot to shout about. But it has had it's little victories, like Beauden Barrett and Fr. Ray Kelly. Alois Fleischmann was interned in the POW camp there before settling in Cork. Great history in the area.
From GAA U-10s to rugby's best ten - Beauden Barrett's remarkable journey from Meath to the All Blacks
Tuesday evening and darkness has already thieved the day sky as the visitor pulls his hired car into the SuperValu at Oldcastle.
