Speaking from my own experience its for the best that it was quick once it was inevitable MOE.

Both of my folks went through long illnesses that they knew there was no coming back from. The toll it took on them and the whole family watching them slowly deteriorate was unbearable.

It's like that. Since he came out of Marymount he was either in severe pain or else so drugged that he didn't know where he was. Yesterday he didn't wake up, today he passed away. At home, with family, on his own terms.

He was given until September 2024 by the doctors, so he put up some battle.

Huge Tipp and Munster fan, former Chairman of Cloughduv GAA, and a great fella.

I'm not getting collected til 4pm which is why I am able to PROC btw.

Anyway back to annoying stuff.

I hate Air B'nB. Should be fucking illegal. It takes rental supply off the market just so lads can make some serious bucks with people staying a few nights and paying hotel prices. Those lads must be making more in a week than they'd be making from a normal rental tenant.

I met a fella going up to his Air BnB last night with two massive suitcases. He's moved to Cork from London for work and is staying above us till he can find a gaff.

This however is nothing in comparison to the time we had a hooker up there a few months ago. I ended that fairly quickly with a few phone calls to a retired Garda and my own landlord.

Hard to know what you're actually booking and everything feels like a scam or a stinking business posing as a nice guy on airbnb screwing over locals.

I've never stayed in one, I'm sure they're grand but I just love hotels. Give me a nice generic hotel room and I'm happy out. I go to Austria a lot and the Austria Trend chain is everything I could ever ask for. Modern, sterile, generic, clean, soulless.

They're beneficial if you're on a city break with kids.

Generally two hotel rooms is cost prohibitive and a single family room gives you no adult time.

It's grand to have a living room for when you fire them off to bed.

it was way better before Airbnb took on a virtual monopoly it used to be sites like home away.com where they had none of the professional landlords you see nowadays.
