Stuff that grinds your gears

I must be the only Norrie who’s never drank buckfast.
Was a feen for the stuff in my wilderness years.

Was at an engagement party donkeys years ago. One of the guests was a cocktail bar man in some Dublin establishment for the great and the good. As an engagement present for the couple he invented a Buckfast based drinkwhich he named The Bouncy Castle. Buckie, Tia Maria and coke. It tasted like a fry's Turkish delight and got you demented drunk. Pure sugar rush. There were some decrepit heads the next day.

The father of one of the lads I lived with in college used to buy weird and wonderful drinks when he was abroad with work and if they were shite he would send them in to us.

The worst ever was a bottle of banana liqueur. Truly vile. We ended up playing Jenga with a shot of it being the forfeit just to get rid of the fucking thing (because obviously we couldn't just dump it!)

Christ you were a wild feckless teen

The never ending cascade of bollocks that's actually worthwhile to do but means your day has the fucking arse torn out of it.

I was planning on taking it easy today. Been busy Monday and Tuesday with the work experience. Went out last and had a conversation that brought me to a whole new realisation with the thing I'm doing for the work experience. Get up, get onto that. That takes a couple of hours and I might not see the results for a few days or weeks. Then it's doing medical stuff for a bit, of which I include posting on the PROC; a hefty aul dose of a medication.

Now I've just read the Oireachtas debate on Disability that was on while I was out last night ('twas really good stuff.) The plan for today in the "taking it easy" aspect was to sort out my fridge and freezer, re-stocking it with a load of meals for when I am busy. After that debate last night the iron is hot, so it looks like I should start writing to politicians, again.

Of course this letter doesn't need to be done, but it could help me, and, importantly, other people as well. I'm in a extremely lucky position and am finally getting to sort stuff out because that luck has just started to pay off, with a massive amount of help from people. There's a lot of people, just as deserving as me, who do not have the luck or support I'm now getting. And, yes, a lot of what I've done has also involved me getting into gear, but it took a massive combination of things to get me to this point alongside my own graft. And I'm not sure it's something people, in general, see. But to give the context to politicians is something I feel I have to do, otherwise (some of them, anyway) will fart along thinking everything is hunky dory, denying people the opportunities it's taken me decades to have. And it makes me fucking furious that decades of my life, and other people's entire lives, were and are being wasted.

Still haven't even had me fucking toast!!!:mad::mad:
