Stuff that grinds your gears

My father in law has decided he doesn't want to continue his chemotherapy.

It's a fairly devastating turn, he's been doing so well and things were looking up.

I don't know what's next. I also want to state that I don't post stuff like this because I want attention, I just don't have many places to say this stuff out loud when I need to.

Ultimately it's his decision and ultimately if the side effects of the treatment are so bad despite it seeming to be doing good job, he's decided to not put himself in more pain on the road to the inevitable.

It's just awful, and so so so so so sad.

I make no apologies for posting this. Call me an attention seeker all you want, but I've no one else to talk to.
So sorry to hear that

Thanks all. It does actually mean a lot to be able to speak about this kind of thing and hear from people who know this feeling.

He's battled well and on reflection I think his decision takes an equal amount of mental strength.

I'm bringing herself out for dinner tonight, hopefully that'll cheer her up a bit. She's very sad

Word of warning, the toys in the Happy Meals these days are utter shite.

The drivers, and it’s almost exclusively women drivers for some reason, who don’t hold up a hand/flash the hazards in acknowledgement/apology when they hold up a line of traffic unloading equipment/passengers. FFS lads, and ladies, appreciate it when others are courteous to you, and be courteous in response. It’s nice to be nice.
