People who waste a remote's battery by keeping the button pressed down when you're only meant to tap it once.

There's a machine in a shared work space I frequent that features a remote to operate. One of the people there keeps the button pressed for the full twenty-second duration of the machine's operating cycle when it only requires the user to tap the button.

It is genuinely infuriating to see him do it. If he was doing it deliberately to annoy me, I'd be giving him a medal.

Also have a greater percentage of younger kids with smart phones than those in " better off areas "

Fuck me, their parents can't be arsed to feed the kids properly but can afford to give then smart phones.

I'm fierce tempted to get rid of my smartphone. They're a plague.

There was some crowd who did one based on Google's system but it was far more locked down and you had a lot more control about what was going on. It was designed for parents to give to teens (how bad, better parenting) but the manufacturers said there was just as many adults buying it for themselves as there was parents for teens when the kids wanted the latest tiktok dance at all hours. What 30 year old parents of a teen has time for dancing?
