I remember when Croke Park was opened to rugby and soccer he wrote an article about how he went to Cusack or Hogan’s grave (can’t remember which) and had a cry.Married to a Gubbins and Maurice Gubbins was the editor of the Echo for years. Just saying.
I know lots of older people who live his stories though and he's a GAA stalwart in fairness. It's about as woke as Michael O'Learys mebs too so it's a safe space for socially conservative readers.
