Mick Barry raised the tradgey of the Whiddy Island disaster in the Dail.
He will be travelling to Bantry and Whiddy today to carry out a fact finding investigation on the incident. He will speak to people who were working on shore that night.
He will travel late this evening to Dromcollogher to listen to relatives of the 49 people who died in the cinema fire in 1926.
He will present his findings to the Dail and demand that the new toiseagh Simon Harris issue an apologhy on behalf of the state.
