I’ve been asked to post this on behalf of another poster and am more than happy to do it because it’s for such a worthy cause.
Well gang. I'm trying to raise a little bit of money for somewhere that is very important to many of us.
On Thursday 3rd September, the Hyde Out on Douglas Street will host a sports trivia quiz with all proceeds goint to Marymount Hospice.
100% sports questions, from football to cycling, via rugby and cricket.
There'll be a raffle for prizes including tickets to concerts such as the Boomtown Rats and The Stunning, as well as bottles of gin and whiskey, and vouchers for restaurants around town.
We'll also have an auction for some signed jerseys.
Shamrock Rovers have sent down a jersey signed by Pico Lopes. I've more jerseys on the way, and it's going to be class.
If you're a sports fan, if you have some connection to Marymount, or if you just fancy a night out, please join us.
Thursday September 3rd, 8pm. €10 a head, teams of four.
