Speed Limits

'In total, there are now 1,373 safety camera zones around Ireland, usually on stretches of road that have seen serious speed-related crashes in the past'

A reputable website.

It does say usually which would cover it but my god almighty there is 100% zones it's used for revenue.

I'm all for vans in accident black spots and serious speed related crashes but I could list quite a few roads that don't fall into the category of accident black spots and serious speed, I would much prefer if vans only located in serious speed related/accident black spot areas and guards do the random speed checks.

It would be more beneficial to all and would more than likely reduce speed related crashes in hot spot areas if vans stayed specifically in those areas.

" From a few years ago "
" Not sure of the latest figures "

You have successfully nullified your earlier point you moron.
Given that the charge was put that these speeding vans are a way to generate revenue for the government, it has not been proven.
In fact, it seems given the article that the government loses money and does not recoup the costs.

Now, if you have some alternative facts to bring to the discussion do so and share it with us. Otherwise, fuck off to 4Chan.

" few years ago "

You are a muppet, it has been said on this thread and is blatant on the roads that where these vans are positioned over the previous few years does not reflect their actual original purpose.

It once was based on where accidents occurred, but not anymore, it is now primarily revenue based.
And you have facts and figures to prove this.....?
Go on...
