Thailand accuses Cambodia of breaking cease-fire, Cambodia claims an accident

Phnom Penh called the incident 'an operational error,' while Bangkok stated that one of its soldiers was injured. A December 27 ceasefire had brought an end to three weeks of deadly fighting between the two countries, who have long disputed the demarcation of their shared border.

Southeast Asia remains a geopolitical hotspot, first there is the Myanmar Civil War now a brushwar between Thailand & Cambodia that both the Americans & Chinese are trying to contain & mediate.

I watch a lot of International media but the interesting thing is I have learned that countries that were once part of an empire have strong cultural ties with them years after, Vietnam was under French & Japanese control but now there is a lot of connections between France & Vietnam and Japan & Vietnam.

Likewise you see the same between Turkiye & Syria those countries fought a war during the early 20th century so that that Arabs would be free & independent but the Turks & the Syrians today are very close to each other under the new leadership in Damascus.
