SilkY, at a point, people have to move on. In terms of the past, let us not fudge it, FF and FG were born out of a terrorist gang, the original Sinn Fein, and FF were even worse, they fought the legitimate government of the Republic we have here today. The good news is that all the terrorists from that time are thankfully long since dead, so it is easier to move on, however up to a point there was never a justification for the campaign of violence, certainly at the time of the Easter Rising twats.

The issue here is that the UK based Sinn Fein, the modern day interlopers, and their Republic of Ireland subsidiary, are still controlled by terrorists in an "Army Council" who still glorify their savage butchery, including one particular mass murderer in the Dail.

Ignorance is not an excuse, and anyone, especially here in the Republic, who votes for them, are scum, ignorant scum. Ignorant because they're too thick to realise that SFROI would sell them out, in order to do their masters bidding.

And the anti-treatyites (who went on to form Fianna Fail) never even agreed a cease-fire, or surrender of weapons. The so called "soldiers of the rearguard" (I kid you not) just had a "dump arms". And then they subsequently brought guns with them into the Dail three years later; their associates assasinated the sitting Minister for Justice a year after that, and less than five year later they entered Government again bringing guns into the Dail.

But nearly 30 years on from an internationally monitored Cease-Fire and Republicans putting weapons permanently beyond use we are assured by supporters of Fianna Fail that Sinn Féin couldn't be trusted in government and "shur they're only gunmen or supporters of gunmen"

Simplistic compartmentalised interpretation of Irish Political History is the tool the FFG hierarchy use to keep their cultees in line
